The recruitment process is underway to hire up to 300 full-time equivalent positions for a new Motorway Service Area in Leeds, opening this Spring.
The Leeds Skelton Lake Services, located on the M1 J45 and built by the Extra MSA Group, will host a wide range of popular food and drink, retail, and leisure facilities, including Nando’s, Burger King, LEON, Harry Ramsdens, Pizza Express, Chopstix, Upper Crust, Urban Express and Starbucks. The site will also include a new 100-bed Ramada hotel.
Staff employed at Leeds Skelton Lake Services can expect to be working in an innovative and environmentally sustainable environment. Fitted with a ‘Living Green Roof’, comprised of wildflowers and greenery, the development is designed to complement the beauty of its surroundings. Staff and Visitors alike will be able to enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds of the development and take in the scenery of the adjacent Skelton Lake.
Andrew Long, Chief Executive at Extra MSA commented:
“Leeds Skelton Lake Services is in the final stages of its build process. The overall new MSA facility provides an important contribution to road safety on this section of the Strategic Road Network, and will offer visitors a visually stunning place to stop off during their journey. We’re delighted to have a complimentary range of selected Tenant Operators “brand partners” on-site, some of whom are a first for the UK motorway network.”
“In total, we’ll be providing around 300 full-time equivalent roles at the site, at a range of outlets, from well-known food and beverage retailers, to business and hotel facilities. We’ve worked very closely with our brand partners and Leeds City Council in particular, to help ensure we provide a range of good job opportunities for local people.”
With the Motorway Service Area due to open this spring, the recruitment process has commenced in earnest. Extra MSA continues to work closely with its brand partners to set up a series of recruitment events, as well as current vacancies being posted here.
